Bezel Terms of Service

Welcome to Bezel.

Bezel is provided by NiuByte Studio ("we", "us", or "NiuByte"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NiuByte governing your download, installation, and use of the Bezel software application and related websites.

By downloading, accessing, or using Bezel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use and delete the application.

1. Services Provided by Bezel

Bezel is an Apple-focused device framing and presentation utility:

• Precision compositing of user screenshots and screen recording videos into Apple device hardware bezels;
• Full catalog coverage across 21 models including iPhone 16/17/18/Air/Duo, MacBook Pro/Neo, iMac M4, Studio Display, and iPad Pro M5;
• Layout placement controls (Exact, Fit, Fill), multi-ratio canvas adaptation, and continuous silhouette drop shadow tuning;
• Full-resolution, lossless exports in PNG, HDR Gain-Map HEIF, and MOV video.

2. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

You own 100% of your content.

All design mockups, UI screenshots, video recordings, and media you import or export using Bezel remain your sole intellectual property or that of your licensors. Using Bezel transfers zero copyright or ownership to NiuByte.

You are fully licensed to use, publish, broadcast, and distribute your exported framed compositions for personal, academic, marketing, App Store presentation, or commercial purposes worldwide without any royalties or trademark attribution requirements.

You represent and warrant that you possess all requisite rights to process the media you import into the software.

3. Local-First Processing & User Responsibility

Bezel operates purely on-device via Metal and CoreGraphics. We provide no remote backup or cloud repository.

You are solely responsible for maintaining your device storage and backing up critical original media. In the event of application deletion, device reset, or file purging, unsaved local caches cannot be recovered by NiuByte.

4. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions & Refunds

Bezel offers free core features and premium Bezel Pro upgrades:

• Bezel Free Features: Full access to all 21 hardware bezels, full-resolution exports, and video framing; exported still images include a subtle translucent Bezel watermark.
• Bezel Pro Lifetime: A single, one-time payment unlocking watermark-free exports forever. Backed by Apple Universal Purchase across your Mac, iPhone, and iPad, including all future frame updates.
• Bezel Pro Yearly: An auto-renewing annual subscription billed upfront through your Apple ID account with the same watermark-free benefits. You may cancel at least 24 hours prior to the cycle renewal date in Apple Subscriptions settings.

All billing and payment transactions are handled exclusively by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple's official Report a Problem service: https://reportaproblem.apple.com/. NiuByte does not directly process payments or issue refunds.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bezel in compliance with all applicable laws. You shall not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract proprietary device assets and shaders from the application package;
• Circumvent or tamper with in-app purchase verifications or entitlement gates;
• Rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the application as a standalone commercial SaaS without written consent;
• Use the software to manufacture fraudulent, defamatory, or infringing materials.

6. Intellectual Property & Trademarks Notice

The Bezel software, brand name, app icon, website layout, code, and original graphic assets belong to NiuByte Studio.

Third-Party Trademark Disclaimer: Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, MacBook, iMac, Studio Display, Metal, and PhotoKit are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Bezel is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Apple Inc. References to Apple hardware are made solely for functional device frame compatibility descriptions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Bezel is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NiuByte be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use Bezel.

In all events, NiuByte's cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to Apple for Bezel over the preceding 12 months. Nothing herein diminishes mandatory statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and Termination

We may revise these Terms at our discretion. Updates will take effect upon posting to this URL. Your continued use following updates implies acceptance.
